Recruitment Underway for Local and Non-Local Seasonal Turbine/Refuel FME Monitors for 2025 ProjectsA Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make: DEKRA FME Services is a specialty company that provides oversight and monitoring services with highly skilled and qualified individuals who have been trained specifically in Foreign Material Intrusion Prevention. The FME Monitor assists workers in the power generation field in using appropriate work practices for Item/Tool Drop Prevention and working safely to prevent the intrusion of foreign materials into critical systems and equipment. This role offers potential for growth and advancement as well as the potential for future, seasonal project work with DEKRA.Opportunities are located in the following states:Lousanna MarylandNew JerseyNew YorkNorth Carolina MichiganMississippiPennsylvaniaSouth Carolina *** Roles are US-based, and the list above is not all-inclusive ***What You'll Do:Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies.Collaborate with nuclear, chemical, oil, gas and solar site personnel to establish zone setups in high-risk maintenance areas, ensuring compliance with specific parametersRead and interpret formal documents (e.g., Administrative or Technical Procedures, Project Plans) and execute tasks accurately based on their requirementsConduct pre-inventory checks and ongoing accounting for tools, supplies, and materials used during power facility maintenanceAssemble, maintain, and manage procedural and non-procedural logs while on-site, creating reports as neededCoach site workers on Foreign Materials Exclusion (FME) and Drop Prevention techniques to prevent foreign material intrusion into critical systemsMonitor and manage personnel flow within maintenance zonesPerform housekeeping walk-downs, log audits, and FME zone boundary inspections to ensure complianceHandle stressful situations professionally to maintain effective interpersonal relationshipsReport FME integrity or cleanliness issues to supervisors, documenting cases where recovery plans are requiredConduct thorough written or verbal turnovers with team members to ensure clear communication of FME zone status.What You'll Bring:Expertise in establishing authority as the Subject Matter Expert for FME services, communicating professionally with site personnelCommitment to safety protocols, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, safety toe boots) and prioritizing safety as a core valueStrong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately, thoroughly, and neatlyProfessionalism and integrity in handling all situationsAbility to meet client site access requirements such as drug screening and background checksCurrently holds or has submitted an application for a TWIC card (if required by project)Physical Considerations:Due to the nature of nuclear fieldwork, candidates must meet physical demands representative of job responsibilities.
