You can schedule appointments and maintains smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.You can support a smooth, friendly, and efficient front office operation to enhance the patient experience.You can properly utilize our electronic health records system and other computer systems to facilitate efficient and effective workflow in our clinics.You can accurately complete a quality registration in the electronic health record that maintains the integrity of demographic and financial information required for clinical and billing functions for every patient encounter.You can research and resolve all registration occurrences for demographic, clinical and insurance accuracy.You can show ability to maintain HIPAA, confidentiality, and handle sensitive information is necessary in this role.You have experience ensuring insurance verification of insurance benefits and financial clearance for all payors at each encounter via phone or web in order to provide patient with estimated payment responsibility for services requested or rendered.You can ensure proper patient billing and payment collections in accordance with the Sliding Fee Scale and all health plans.You have experience maintaining an accurate cash drawer and functions related to cash drawer reconciliation and deposit.You understand and adhere to state and federal regulations and system policies regarding compliance, integrity, and ethical registration practices.What you get:Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance (Eligible first of month following hire date)18 paid days off.9 1/2 paid company holidays, including your birthday.401K with Company MatchAgency wide Quarterly Incentives (Eligible after 90 days)Department bonus potential (Eligible after 90 days)Requirements1-2 years' experience in the health care system; or High School diploma with more than 2 years' experience in the a health care system.Working knowledge of medical terminology.Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent written or oral communication skills.Proven diplomatic approach to complex situations.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.Ability to work M - F from 6:30am - 6pm with flexibility to work health center locations in Spartanburg and Cherokee counties.Valid SC Driver's LicenseCPR/AED certification preferred.Certified Medical Insurance Specialist (CMIS) or equivalent certification desirable.
