Job DetailsLevelExperiencedJob LocationWestchester - Tarrytown, NYPosition TypeFull TimeEducation Level4 Year DegreeSalary Range$50,000.00- $53,000.00 SalaryTravel PercentageUp to 25%Job ShiftAnyDescriptionSUMMARYUnder general supervision, the Float Residence Manager is responsible for assisting and providing oversight and guidance to management, in the absence of a Residence Manager, Assistant Manager and/or Shift Supervisor.Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the supervision of daily operations of residences, provide staff supervision and coordination of services to ensure the health and well-being of individuals supported.
- work closely with the Area Coordinator to conduct internal audits and reviews, staff trainings and hiring of staff.
- Shall be responsible for 40 hours per week of work and should generally work an eight-hour day. Regular work hours shall be 40 hours, except when attendance is required for emergencies, staff coverage, etc.
- Will work one weekend day per week and two early mornings and two evenings during the month to observe meals and medication administration at the assigned residence.
- The Float Manager is on standby and should be available at a moment's notice to come in.
QualificationsEducational Requirements:
- A Master's in psychology, social work, special education or related with two years' experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Or
- A Bachelor's in psychology, social work, special education on related field with five years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and one-year managerial experience.
OR
- An Associate degree in health and humans' services or related with at least 10 years' experience working with individuals with disabilities and at least five years of experience in a supervisory capacity within the Human Services field.
Required Skills:
- Must provide direct and situational intervention when a individuals behavior requires it, including crisis prevention and physical crisis intervention.
- Must be capable of assisting in the evacuation of individuals during fire drills and other emergency situations.
- Must be capable of assisting non-ambulatory individuals in transferring from wheelchairs or other situations for toileting.
- Valid NY State Drivers License Required with 6 points or less
- Must be able to drive a 15 passenger van
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of IRA regulations
- Must be highly organized, able to work under pressure and multi-task
- Must maintain confidentiality of staff and individuals records
- Must be able to remain professional at all times
- Must Be Fully Vaccinated (COVID-19)
