Join Loretto Health & Rehabilitation as a Float CNA!Full time FLOAT positions available for Days, Evenings, and Nights!Offering an additional shift differential for evenings and overnights.Overtime after working an 8-hour shift (vs 40 hours/week)!CNA Floats can make up to $29.89 per hour including shift differential!ResponsibilitiesAs a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your primary responsibility will be to provide basic care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of patients by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.Responsibilities And Duties
  • Assist patients with their personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Help patients with mobility by aiding in walking, transferring, and positioning.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  • Assist in feeding patients and ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Respond to patient calls and provide them with emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment by changing linens, tidying patient rooms, and replenishing supplies.
  • Document patient information and report any observed changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the welfare of patients.
  • Assist in transporting patients to various departments within the healthcare facility as needed.
Qualifications
  • Current NYS certification as a certified nursing assistant
  • Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and rotation to weekend schedule to meet resident needs.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families and other employees and cope with the physical and mental stress of the position.
  • Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.
  • Ability to report changes in resident's condition and other pertinent information.
  • Ability to take and record information and basic records.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
