OverviewFlight Test EngineerLOCATION: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, ALJOB STATUS: Full-timeCLEARANCE: SecretCertificationTRAVEL: As NeededAstrion has an exciting opportunity for a Flight Test Engineer located at the Redstone Test and Engineering Support (RTES) Contract in Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Astrion has worked extensively with the Redstone Test and Engineering Support (RTES) Contract where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of its clients.Required Qualifications / Skills

• BS/BA in Engineering (Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or applicable technical specialty in related discipline from an ABET school and 2 to 5 years of aviation related experience.
• 2 to 5 yrs experience in crewed or uncrewed aircraft/aircraft systems (e.g. flt control, displays, radar, comm/nav) test.
• Computer networking skills are highly desired along with basic competency with MS Office, Matlab and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Incumbents will serve as a flight test engineer at the Aviation Flight test Directorate, US Army Redstone Test Center responsible for:
• planning,
• execution,
• real-time safety-of-flight
• data quality monitoring,
• data analysis,
• reporting for developmental and/or operational tests of system integrations on the AH-64E helicopter and UAS testing.
• Incumbents will be focused on the AH-64E aircraft and UAS testing.
