5 days onsite to start but will evolve into hybrid 4/1 after 3 months

A leading financial institution is seeking a proactive FIX Onboarding and Production Support Specialist to join our Equity IT DevOps team. This role focuses on supporting various trading functions, including Equities, Options, Futures, and Post-trading allocations. Candidates should possess a solid technical background, with expertise in FIX Protocol and the ability to troubleshoot related technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client onboarding processes for our FIX trading platform and ensure high-level ongoing support to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with clients and Trading Desk to gather FIX onboarding requirements and adjust FIX settings accordingly.
  • Address and resolve technical issues concerning FIX connectivity and onboarding, collaborating with both internal and external teams when necessary.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align FIX onboarding and production support with business goals.
  • Maintain detailed records of client onboarding and production support activities, and regularly update our knowledge base/wiki.
  • Interact with external software vendors integrated with our systems.
  • Coordinate the release of new applications, FIX configurations, and enhancements with external clients.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in working with FIX protocols, with a thorough understanding of FIX messages and order routing.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in Application Support, Equities, and DevOps environments is desirable.
