Job Overview: We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated General Manager to work at a high-profile company's wellness suite located in Lower Manhattan, NYC. In this role, you will manage and direct all operations, staffing, revenue and expense goals, and marketing aspects of the site. You will also assume key responsibilities in marketing, promotion, planning, and staffing of programs, acting as a liaison between the company and the client.

What you will do:

  • Provide leadership to set the tone and personality of the site, making it motivating and engaging.
  • Implement product capabilities, programs, and marketing for member engagement.
  • Handle human capital responsibilities: hiring, coaching, motivating, scheduling, training, developing, evaluating, assigning projects, and terminating team members when necessary.
  • Respond to members' feedback and concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Provide recurring reports to leadership.
  • Ensure your team delivers high-quality customer service and programming.
  • Encourage professional development and retention of your team.
  • Implement and follow policies and procedures.

    • What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree with two to three years of management experience.
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management, problem-solving, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to hire, coach, train, and develop team members.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in a corporate fitness or spa setting.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and finance/payroll systems.
