SUMMARY: Provide initial and ongoing guidance, systems education, and support to clients to encourage treatment engagement and retention. Current status (verbal or written) reports will allow for either FIT to assist in reengaging parents and giving parents credit for their efforts towards their recovery and reunification plans.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:* Serves as liaison between clinical staff and ODHS caseworkers.* Supports clients in identifying concrete needs during treatment and addressing them. Reaches out FIT liaisons with ODHS staffing concerns and resource requests as needed.* Reports & notifies ODHS caseworker and FIT team members within 48 hours when there is a loss of contact with a client, the client has missed 2 treatment groups, client's failed to attend treatment sessions, or they leave residential programs. Communicate these findings by phone, email, and CTC form communication.* Collaborates with FIT Recovery Navigators to designate and direct the clarification of roles and responsibilities with specific clients, such as who performs what task and who is communicating that information to clients.* Completes & submits Monthly Treatment Progress Reports by electronic mail to the DHS FIT team to add as case documents. These need to be received by the 10th of the following month.* Attends clinical staffing at treatment centers for supervision.* Attends ODHS /FIT Case Manager staffing meetings* Attends client court hearings to provide clinical updates and to support to client.* Identifies the need for child visits and problem solves scenarios to make visits more successful.* Coordinate and ensure patients wanting serviced from Portland Recovery Center have completed all requirements for induction and ongoing services including transportation, paperwork, orientation groups, etc.* Teach and model positive recovery behaviors while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.* Build and maintain positive working relationships with individuals and organizations in the recovery community.* Participate in team meetings, case conferences, work groups, committees, trainings, and applicable community organized events.* Use agency network and electronic health records to document all relevant contacts with or in regard to patients.* Promote community integration and positive outcomes in the areas housing, employment, education, family and social support and recovery.* Assist in the tracking of critical data elements necessary for program reporting.* Achieve outcomes using methods that align with CODA's mission and values:* Communicate accurately and positively about recovery and the use of evidence-based treatments.* Use data and science to identify barriers, overcome obstacles, and inform decisions.* Be financially responsible; avoid waste, document accurately, seek new opportunities to serve.SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:* Assist the team by providing short-term relief coverage and/or basic training for other staff members.QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or closely related area of study or similarly related work experience.COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:* Adhere to regulatory requirements and maintain professional, ethical and behavioral standards of conduct.* Ability to be attentive to and identify high risk situations, communicating with the appropriate channels in a timely manner.* Ability to intervene in such a way that demonstrates sensitivity and respect while keeping a clear line of communication between supervisor and treatment team.* Ability to demonstrate a non-judgmental and respectful attitude with patients at all times.* Ability to establish rapport quickly, maintain appropriate boundaries, and remain nonjudgmental to patients.* Ability to utilize both oral and written communications skills to effectively communicate with patients, co-workers, community resources, supervisors, and various other individuals encountered in the course of performing work while maintaining patient confidentiality and establishing professional rapport.* Ability to maintain professional communications and boundaries while managing complex situations and interacting with individuals diagnosed with substance use or co-occurring conditions.* Ability to operate a computer, utilize basic MS Office programs, and effectively navigate and maintain patient records in an electronic medical records system.REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:* This position may require the Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.* Crisis prevention certification (such as CPI) within 90 days of hire.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:* Must be able to perform Basic Life Support for 15 minutes continuously and maintain BLS certification.* Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.* Must be able to follow infection control practices and safely work in patient-focused environment.* Must be able to negotiate a staircase, reach, and handle objects.* Must be able to sit for extended periods of time* Must be able to operate a personal computer for extended periods of time
