Firefighter - League of Minnesota Cities : Job Details

The City of Fairmont is looking for individuals who want to serve their community by responding to fire, rescue, and other emergency incidents as a paid-on-call firefighter. Applicants must meet these minimum requirements: be at least 18 years old; possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent; possess (or be able to obtain by time of hire) a valid Minnesota Drivers License; reside within eight (8) minutes of the Fairmont Fire Station; be able to speak, read, and write in English; and be able to pass the written and physical agility tests, criminal background check, drug screening, and medical evaluation. Interested individuals must also be available for testing dates. This position may be eligible to earn a pension based on years of service through the Firefighter Relief Association.
