Fire Marshal - City of Kilgore Texas : Job Details

The Fire Marshal directly oversees and manages fire prevention activities to protect life and property through fire prevention, code enforcement, fire safety, building plans and review activities, and fire investigations which may be performed under conditions requiring physical exertion. Major elements of a Fire Marshals work are the participation in code enforcement activities performed at buildings and construction sites. The Fire Marshal also spends considerable time in the education environment at schools and businesses performing public education activities. The Fire Marshal works closely with the Fire Chief, Fire Operations, City Police, City Planning, City Code Enforcement, and City Building Inspection departments.
