Job Description :

The Financial Systems Analyst role is responsible for supporting the accounting applications and associated systems, including but not limited to, time entry, cost recovery, notification and financial reporting. In addition to the accounting system administration and support, the role will develop and execute ad hoc queries, custom reports, data workflow processes, etc. We are only looking for candidates who have worked in a law firm environment and have Elite 3E experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical and application support to users of financial application
  • Detect and correct cost recovery upload errors
  • Build, optimize, deliver and support new and existing reports and data visualization dashboards using Power BI and EDI based on requirements from functional expert/business owners
  • Assist in designing reports, solutions, and processes that increases optimization when possible
  • Develop data structures, SQL Views, stored procedures and functions as needed for reporting/dashboard
  • Develop and support SSRS, Power BI Reports and dashboards to meet business needs
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports via SQL and Reporting Services
  • Customize front end Elite 3E reports and metrics and delivering to the specifications required
  • Tracks, monitors, evaluates and optimizes reporting and dashboards based on feedback from end-users

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Experience working with accounting software required, experience with Elite 3e preferred
  • Strong SQL skills with proficiency in SQL development, SSRS and Power BI Tools are required
  • Ability to learn general functional and technical aspects of firm s Financial applications whenever required
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate results
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate with all other IT members, members of the firm and clients. Must have customer service attitude and ability to work well with other groups
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and effectively under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills, capability to schedule and coordinate multiple activities in results-oriented environment
  • Must have customer service attitude and ability to work well with other groups
  • Superior understanding of the firm s goals and objectives, with demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving business problems
  • Highly available and responsive to occasional after-hours issues, as the firm operates on a near 24x7 basis

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree required
  • 3+ of experience in a corporate IT role, preferably supporting and customizing financial systems
  • Solid technical foundation and strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher is preferred
  • Familiarity with Query tools and SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Extract Transform Load (ETL)
  • Knowledge of relational databases required
  • XML experience preferred
  • Advanced report writing experience using tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, etc. required
  • Experience with core financial software applications, such as: Elite 3E, ChromeRiver, and Xcelerate strongly preferred
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping required

SALARY RANGE

$110,000 - $120,000
