Immediate contract opportunity for Financial/Budget Analyst with direct client in Manhattan, NY. Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Budget/Financial Analyst in Manhattan, NY. The particulars of the position are as follows. Job Summary/ Essential Job Functions: Understand and analyze legal and real estate documents. • Example: Reviewing the closing memos for all RAD transactions and Real Estate Deals. Understand a Cash flow Analysis and be able to assist in updating and reconciliation. • Assist in reconciliation of cashflow analysis from 3 different Departments: Real Estate, Treasury & internal FP&A Projections to Real Estate Deals & Transactions • Be able to assist in providing real estate projections based on agreements, discussions, and feedback from the department to provide realistic estimates of future potential gains due to the said agreement. • Project revenue and make recommendations based on collected and calculated data. • Update and maintain database systems for budget, tracking & reporting. • Prepare and assist with the preparation of the annual budget. • Perform long-range financial planning. • Perform complex financial analyses and statistical computations for various rate studies, salary increases, financial models and cost allocation plans develops and analyzes benchmarking and performance management tools. • Research and answer financial and budget inquiries submitted by staff, Management, citizens, other municipalities, and City Council. • Participate in special accounting projects as required. • Perform related tasks as necessary. Qualifications/Knowledge of: • Principles and methods of finance and administration, particularly in the area of municipal accounting, budgeting, and cash management. • Modern office practices, procedures, methods, and equipment. • English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. • Laws regulating the financial administration of FED/STATE/CITY government. • Budget preparation, program analyses, and revenue forecasting. • Principles and practices of organization, administration, budget, and personnel management • Long range financial planning methods and practices. Ability to: • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. • Work cooperatively with other departments, officials, and outside agencies. • Prepare and interpret statistical analysis. • Prepare complex financial statements, reports, and analyses. • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with those contacted in the course of work. • Utilize logic and apply sound financial accounting principles to define issues, establish fact, collect information, reach valid conclusions and propose sound solutions. Skill in the areas of: • Communication and customer service • Strategic thinking • Analysis of complex issues including both qualitative and quantitative • Judgment • Confidentiality • Problem solving • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (excel, access, Hyperion a plus, teams, SharePoint, outlook) • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. • 2-3 years progressively responsible (professional level) experience in accounting/finance is desirable but not a requirement. • Municipal and/or governmental experience is preferred.
