Title: Financial Applications Specialist IILocation: New York, NY (hybrid)Type: ContractOur client is seeking a Finance professional with deep operations knowledge and actionable business insight. Works independently against defined objectives, contributing to technical discussions and making the solution better.Key Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for payroll systems development through to production implementation.
  • Manage operational and projects related deliverables for payments to employees.
  • Maintain integrity of all interfaces between payroll systems and internal and external systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze business problems and deliver solutions through applications, integration, and automation
  • Participate in the full project lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, and support
  • Provide application technical expertise to address system gaps and recommend custom vs. out-of-the-box solutions
  • Collaborate with third parties and internal teams to develop integration strategies and document solutions
  • Support business projects through financial analysis, documentation, and training
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical deliverables across a range of finance functions
  • Maintain process documentation and provide mentorship to junior staff
  • Stay current with industry trends through seminars and workshops
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Four (4) to seven (7) years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare or not-for-profit environments.
  • Project/program management experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Experience with Symplr Workforce Management or similar Time & Attendance software, such as Kronos, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management, payroll, time & attendance, and information systems.
  • Ability to lead technical requirements development and manage cross-functional projects
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operational processes to fully understand how systems can optimize operations.
  • Ability to navigate through various applications / databases.
  • Ability to learn on the job and stay up to date on the new developments in Payroll domain and the ERP system.
  • Ability to embrace new technologies and implement new HR policies in system.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required, including ability to synthesize and clearly present complex information.
  • Track record of developing strong relationships of trust and confidence with senior leaders, peers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to influence and effectively engage with a wide variety of team members.
  • Ability to take initiatives to challenge the status quo and drive change for process optimization and business process transformation.
  • Ability to drive optimization and innovation efforts by continuously adapting to changing dynamics.
  • Analytical skills to assess operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
