Background

Successful candidates will work within a financial institution, technology company or a consulting practice, covering areas such as electronic markets, trading, and risk management. They may have led or be interested in leading complex projects for business management, traders, investment bankers, quantitative strategists, risk managers, operations, and technologists. Projects are performed on client site are on a hybrid basis at NYC, NJ, CT, TX, or FL offices.

We have a number of roles that require proactive, team-oriented, and ambitious individuals focused on delivering results with a diligent, professional, and positive outlook. You will have enjoyed programming in at least one of the following languages; C++, C#, Python, and advanced Java.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize trading systems, risk management, and analytics platforms to achieve high-performance, data intensive goals.
  • Collaborate with traders, quants, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and create effective solutions.
  • Implement and enhance trading algorithms, execution strategies, and real-time data processing functionalities.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure high coding standards and testing best practices within the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, trading technologies, and financial instruments to inform development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 – 25+ years of proven experience as a hands-on developer with at least one of the above languages (C++ / C# / advanced Java / Python) in the capital markets domain.
  • Strong understanding of trading systems, financial products, and market operations.
  • Experience with real-time data processing and high-frequency trading strategies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with development tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, Agile, TDD).
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other programming languages (e.g., CUDA, ReactJS), Machine Learning and GenAI techniques is a plus.
  • Knowledge of market data feeds and APIs (e.g., FIX protocol).
  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

**The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000
