A busy New York hospital is seeking a Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis and reporting. Responsibilities:
- Compile, analyze, and distribute financial data to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and schedules for department and executive-level review.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable format.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities based on financial data analysis.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative departments to support cost-saving and revenue-enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all financial reporting platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial analyst or related role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Access or financial systems is a plus.
- Previous experience utilizing PeopleSoft.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
