Financial Analyst (250457)A high number of candidates may make applications for this position, so make sure to send your CV and application through as soon as possible.Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to support the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in overseeing the financial performance of the IT department. This role is responsible for project-level financial reporting, forecasting, and planning, and plays a critical role in ensuring that IT investments are aligned with business goals and delivered within budget. We like to think of this role as the perfect blend between Finance, IT, and Project Management. This role will report to the Finance Director, Corporate FP&A, while directly supporting the CIO.What you will doFinance business partnering with the CIO/IT team to develop annual IT budgets and multi-year financial plansMonitor IT expenditures against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actionsPerform cost-benefit analyses for new IT initiatives and technology investmentsTrack and report on the financial status of IT projects, including capital and operating expendituresWork with project managers to ensure timely and accurate financial updatesMaintain project-level forecasts, accruals, and cost trackingPrepare regular reports and dashboards for executive leadership on IT financial performanceTranslate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholdersSupport board and executive presentations with relevant financial analysisAssist in developing financial governance processes for IT projects and vendor contractsEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standardsHelp manage IT vendor financial relationships, including invoice validation and contract trackingAd hoc support/financial analysis as neededMinimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, MBA preferred.3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a technology or IT environment.Strong forecasting and financial modeling skills.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IT cost structures, capital vs. operating expenses, and project accountingStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, NetSuite, ERP systems)Proven ability to collaborate with business leaders to deliver results and influence decisions through analysis, modeling, and effective communication.Demonstrated ability to work and problem solve independently and effectively manage priorities and expectations with stakeholders.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Familiarity with IT-related Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) preferredAbout Consumer CellularConsumer Cellular is the top-rated wireless provider that provides cell phones and no-contract service plans primarily to those 50+.
