Financial Analyst IV - City Of Houston Texas : Job Details

The mission of Houston Public Works (HPW) is to provide water and treat wastewater, provide streets and drain storm water, enforce the City's building and development codes; all in an effective, efficient and responsible manner to serve our customers. Under the leadership of the Assistant Director of the Capital Projects and Grants Management Branch, the Financial Analyst will oversee and perform the capital budget transactions required to support delivery of the $10 billion 5-year Capital Improvement Program. Responsible for coordinating with HPW Service Lines, Finance Department and City Controllers Office to create, modify and release capital project budgets, implement necessary work breakdown structures, and submit purchase requisitions. Must adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and City/ Department policies. Performs the development and implementation of new or redesigned systems.
