Financial Accountant I - Texas A&M University : Job Details

A Glimpse of the Job. The Financial Accountant I is responsible for performing entry-level professional accounting tasks and providing technical expertise at a university level. Essential Duties/ Tasks:Research and Analysis - Researches discrepancies and reports findings. Identifies, investigates, and resolves outstanding reconciling items through journal entries, meetings, correspondence, identifying corrections, and following-up. Audits accounting and financial documents for accuracy and completeness. Assures compliance with standards, policies and procedures. Reconciliations - Prepares and analyzes financial transactions. Prepares and analyzes reconciliations for TDEM general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and state bank accounts. Data Entry - Records journal entries into FAMIS and USAS. What you need to know.
