Job Description
Financial Management & Reporting
• Oversee all financial operations within the distribution center, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost trends.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and financial regulations.
• Monitor and manage inventory accounting, cost allocations, and financial reconciliations.
Operational Efficiency & Cost Control
• Partner with operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Analyze labor costs, transportation expenses, and warehouse operational expenditures.
• Develop strategies to enhance productivity while maintaining financial controls.
Budgeting & Forecasting
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the distribution center.
• Track actual financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Support strategic decision-making by providing financial modeling and scenario planning.
Compliance & Internal Controls
• Ensure proper financial controls are in place to mitigate risks and prevent financial discrepancies.
• Conduct audits and process reviews to enhance financial integrity.
• Work closely with external auditors and compliance teams to support financial reviews. Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and warehouse teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.
• Act as the financial liaison between the distribution center and corporate finance teams.
• Present financial insights to senior management and recommend actions for business growth.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of financial management experience, preferably in distribution, logistics, or supply chain industries.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting, and operational finance.
• Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, AS400 or similar), and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to work across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
