Job SummaryThis Manager resides on the Research Financial Compliance team. A majority of our work is related to financial audit and compliance of research awards. An understanding of the financial system and how attributes flow in our system is a large part of the tasks required to reconcile our data. Cost allowability and allocability provide a framework for the tasks this position will oversee. Additionally this team works with all Sponsored Program teams across the award life cycle. Approximately 5 standard audits and 7 State and National surveys are managed on this team. This is subject to change based on sponsor and federal requirements. The incumbent chosen must be highly analytical performing at an expert level of excel using other tools as able to review large data and sharing tools with the team for efficient and effective leadership. Must also possess the ability to analyze the financials opens cross-functional work to other teams and projects outside of audit and compliance.

Job DutiesProvides financial support for all areas of UT Southwestern. Develops multi-year cash flow projections. Identifies areas of financial risk present findings and makes recommendations to management. Develops annual forecast of capital needs and manages allocation of funds. Plans leads coordinates and manages budgeting and forecasting activities. Evaluates prioritizes assigns and implements capital projects. Manages directs and plans evaluation of company's financial performance. Develops and recommends actions to achieve company financial objectives. Provides strategic consultation and guidance to management on financial issues evaluates business proposals and creates recommendations for optimizing financial impact on business initiatives. Manages financial analyst staff. Completes complex projects as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
