Base pay range

$48.00/hr - $68.00/hr

Oxford Solutions is working with a medical device client looking to hire a Finance Manager for a contract role (6 to 12 months). You will play a key role in overseeing financial operations and supporting strategic decisions across the organization. Prior experience working in a CRO or medical device environment strongly preferred.

Onsite and/or Hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance operations, including supervising AP and AR staff.
• Provide leadership while remaining a hands-on contributor to financial tasks.
• Oversee client invoicing, expense tracking, and unitized budget reconciliation.
• Handle country or regional payroll processes, including tax payments and benefits (Canadian payroll experience is a plus).
• Lead the monthly close process and prepare financial reports for leadership.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance standards.
• Serve as the local point of contact for finance systems
• Manage banking relationships and monitor cash positions.
• Lead the annual audit process and implement process improvements.
• Mentor finance team members and coordinate professional development goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a CRO or medical device environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, general ledger, and invoicing.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance staff.
• Skilled in financial systems and reporting; NetSuite/OpenAir experience a plus.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and support international teams.
