Job Description :
Under general direction of the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller (Clerk). This position is accountable for the current and long-term effectiveness of all financial functions of the Clerk and the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), including accounting, budgetary controls, cash receipts and disbursements, payroll, credit and collections, banking, investments, taxes, treasury, controllership, and pre-audits. This individual analyzes financial matters of the Clerk and BOCC in order to advise county officials and staff as to proper accounting and reporting treatments, appropriate fiscal policy, sound business practices, and provides required financial data. Examples of Duties Prepares Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and submits to Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting.
