As we expand into ground maintenance and other industrial applications, our expert team continues to address key challenges with labor shortages, sustainability and profitability across various industries.About the RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic Field Test Operator to join our Test Engineering team. You will be responsible for operating and testing new and existing autonomous vehicle systems through the entire product lifecycle. You will coordinate with hardware and software teams to address new product issues and provide feedback for design improvements. This role will be based in our South San Francisco office. What You'll DoDevelop and maintain test site infrastructure and a fleet of autonomous vehiclesTest our full product platform in vineyards and orchards throughout Sonoma countyCreate datasets on product performance, reliability, and maintenanceIdentify product issues by operating with a critical eye and knowledge of our systemsCapture bugs and document reproduction scenarios for the software team to debugExecute test plans and regular regression testsSupport customer trials, collect feedback and resolve any technical issuesWork with SW engineers to troubleshoot issues and tune new featuresWhat You'll BringExperience with agriculture, land maintenance, and heavy machinery.Experience operating software-enabled products. Example would be drone operator using associated software and maintenance procedures.Bachelor degree and 2+ years of experience in a professional and product-driven environmentExperience working hands-on with electrical and mechanical componentsStrong communication skillsCuriosity to learn about new technologyAbility to work outdoors for extended periods in hot and cold weatherWhat Makes You a Strong FitExperience farming permanent cropsExperience with issue & project tracking software (i.e. JIRA or Linear)An understanding of electric vehicles and software testingAbility to drive a truck and trailer with heavy equipmentAn understanding of networking technologyAbility to communicate with customers in a professional manner$70,000 - $85,000 a yearThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $85,000 + equity + benefits + unlimited PTO The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, internal equity, and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or specialty training.
