Field Surveyor - Selectek : Job Details

Selectek has an exciting opportunity for a Field Surveyor that will play an integral role in ensuring our clients products are engineered and fabricated accurately. The Surveyor will be responsible for traveling to job sites and gathering accurate information that will then be documented and shared with the engineering and fabrication teams. This information will make it possible for our client to deliver their product into the field and ensure it is installed correctly without having to redo engineering work or fabricated parts.This position required heavy travel. Candidates should expect to be on the road nearly 100% of the time Monday-Friday at construction sites primarily across the southeastern United States. The expectation will be that anyone taking on the is role will be prepared to “live out of their suitcase†during the week.Job Duties:Conduct architectural and structural surveys on job sites collecting data with Total Station or Faro 3D Laser scanning equipment.When necessary, take precise measurements by hand for additional building details.Process all data collected to create proper reportsWork with Engineers and Fabrication team to assist with any questions about the dataRequired:1+ year of survey experience for architectural or structural projectsProficiency using Total Station equipmentStrong customer service skills and professionalism to interact with client onsiteStrong communication and organizational skillsWillingness to travel 100% of the timeJob order details:The focus of the role will be traveling to job sites and conducting surveys of the building/facility their awnings and canopy’s will be fabricated to be placed on. They will collect the data and produce reports that will be sent back to the engineering and fabrication teams. This is all outside construction work.Sponsorship: No, must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card HolderPay range: $26/hour - $29/hour ($54,000 - $62,000 annual base salary)Term of assignment: 6 months contract to directPay method when direct: Hourly eligible for overtimeLocation of job: Lithia Springs, GA 30122Hours and shift: Monday – Friday, 8AM-5PM (some flex for start time)Work from home/remote:  Not really, they will either be on the road or in the officeWorking remote: NoOvertime expected: There can be long days in the field, and they do get into overtime often.Travel: Almost always on the road. There will be occasions when they are not on the road. Sometimes they will be in the office and as they grow with the company, if they want to transition to a job in office, that is something they can do. Travel is mostly in the Southeast but can be across the United States. They are back on the weekends.
