Their projects include retail, pharma, food, and beverage work.The Field Support Engineer role ensures seamless implementation and operation of warehouse automation systems. This position requires a solid understanding of troubleshooting AGV, ACR, and AMR systems and basic DevOps philosophies. The company knows you may be limited as a military candidate within that industry, so they will deploy a comprehensive training plan that includes certification within their organization. As a Field Support Engineer, you'll provide essential project support through technical guidance, assisting in configuring and testing hardware components, software, and firmware. Additionally, you will perform site inspections, oversee quality standards, and support the integration of the Warehouse Management System with customer systems. This role demands extensive travel and a commitment to living on-site for the duration of projects, ensuring that every solution is flawlessly executed.Travel for the role is national and can include various amounts of travel for extended periods. Sometimes the work is a few days. Other times, the project could support the client for months. In the case of extended projects, the company will do its best to have you travel home on the weekends as much as possible. Travel is booked (airfare) through a corporate program, and Hotel and Rental cars are your responsibility with a reimbursement. There is also a per diem of roughly $60.00 per day for food when you are traveling. Military veterans with electrical, electronics, and mechanical systems expertise are an excellent fit for this role due to their extensive technical training, hands-on experience, and problem-solving skills. The company has employees who are veterans and see the value in those skills, which is why they want to onboard military talent. The company is looking for well-rounded technicians with some IT/Computer knowledge exposure, including Linux systems and reflashing firmware, etc. The company is comfortable with people living near a major airport, preferably in locations that will be communicated to you in your first discussion, if you don't mind. However, living in Atlanta would be an added advantage for visibility to their corporate offices. This is not a requirement.
