Our client designs and manufactures battery-free flywheel UPS systems and energy storage products for mission-critical power applications worldwide. They are looking for a field service technician that will cover the Bay Area and a role supporting a local client in Quincy, WA. The role will be preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and corrective maintenance of rotary UPS units. This role will be servicing a wide array of customers from small businesses to large manufacturing facilities, to military installations.Historically, Navy nuclear-trained electrician's mates and electronics technicians with power electronics and medium to high voltage experience have transitioned well into these roles. Alternatively, military candidates with weapon combat systems and medium to high voltage experience will also be considered. In addition to a solid technical skill set and quick adaptability, a customer-facing personality is a must. For many of the customer locations that you service, you will be the sole point of contact representing the company during most customer interactions. Customers will judge the quality of the company by your level of professionalism and attitude, so strong customer service skills and a professional personality is key.Base salary, $80K - $100K, DOE, with overtime and full benefits, and a 401k with company match. You are guaranteed 40 hours each week, even when there is minimal work. However, some weeks you will receive significant overtime.
