The Field Technician is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service while conducting mechanical repairs and/or servicing equipment for internal and external customers. The position involves traveling to customer sites, representing the company's values, and ensuring equipment is serviced to Southwest ToyotaLift's standards.

• Communicate professionally with customers both in-house and in the field, building strong relationships.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and write clear job recommendations and descriptions.
• Know parts and determine if they need replacement or repair.
• Repair gasoline, LPG, electric, or diesel-powered forklifts.
• Make necessary repairs, including replacing worn or broken parts, adjusting brakes, tightening bolts, and aligning wheels.
• Lubricate vehicles and perform maintenance tasks.
• Perform manual labor such as heavy lifting and operate power equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and escalate issues as needed.
• Complete paperwork to open and close work orders accurately and timely for proper processing and billing.
• Keep the vehicle clean and report any issues.
• Practice safe work habits.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of forklift/material handling technician experience.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle to customer sites.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service attitude and aptitude.
• Willingness to attend technical classes.
• Neat and professional appearance.

• Ability to repeatedly stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, climb, and kneel.
• Operate power machinery and hand tools, including air compressors, band saws, steam cleaners, and parts washers.
• Lift up to 50 pounds unaided.
• Operate and drive company vehicles.
