We are seeking a full-time Service Technician (Air Products – SCBA) responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and testing Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment used by firefighting personnel. This role ensures that all SCBA equipment remains in optimal condition and fully operational for emergency use.

  • Inspection & Testing: Perform routine inspections, functional checks, and tests (pressure, airflow, leak) on 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment.
  • Maintenance & Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair SCBA units, replacing worn or damaged components as needed.
  • Preventive Service Calls: Conduct periodic service visits to fire departments for scheduled maintenance and safety checks.
  • Calibration: Calibrate and adjust equipment for accurate performance and safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed service records, including equipment condition, parts replaced, and test results.
  • Training & Support: Educate end-users on proper use and maintenance of SCBA equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory and ensure adequate stock for repairs.
  • Compliance: Stay current on industry regulations (NFPA standards) and ensure equipment meets or exceeds standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide support and respond to customer concerns related to SCBA equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience servicing SCBA equipment
  • Technical certifications related to SCBA maintenance
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards and 3M/Scott Safety guidelines
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of SCBA equipment
