Our client's Machine Tools Division specializes in punch press systems and CNC machinery, providing cutting-edge solutions for industrial and machining operations. The company seeks a mechanically focused Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and support our systems, ensuring top-tier performance in industrial environments.As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of punch press systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, with some electrical troubleshooting involved. You will work closely with clients, training them on system operation and maintenance to ensure long-term functionality and efficiency. Your ability to communicate professionally and clearly with customers will be key to maintaining strong client relationships.This position requires extensive travel, approximately 80-90% of the time, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend stays due to logistics. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of an international airport in Cleveland, Dallas, or Philadelphia to accommodate the frequent travel needs. Assignments will be dispatched across the U.S., with occasional work in Mexico and Canada. Some local travel within a few hours may require the use of a personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided.While all locations require a strong mechanical background, specific regional expertise is beneficial. In Cleveland, the focus leans more toward electrical and control systems, particularly CNC operations, making experience with electromechanical systems an asset. The Dallas and Philadelphia locations primarily deal with mechanical punch press systems, requiring a deeper understanding of mechanical components and troubleshooting. While PLC experience is not required, familiarity with control systems is advantageous.This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with advanced industrial machinery, travel extensively, and develop your technical expertise in a highly specialized field. Employees traveling overnight will receive a $68 per diem.The company invests heavily in the training and development of its engineers, you will start doing onsite training at their operations in the US and then shadow the Senior Engineers before being able to grow on your own.
