Description Position Details: Title: Field Service Engineer II Location: New York - must live within an hour of the airport Shift or Travel: Monday-Friday, day shift Compensation: $38-$42+/hr DOE on a 40-hour work week with OT as needed Benefits: Young, dynamic, and open culture with focus on staff development and opportunities for growth, including internationally. Company vehicle and expense account provided. Position Description: Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing automated instruments and systems used in histology, cytology, and hematology. Provides field service, installations, evaluations, and technical training. • Repair medical instruments to manufacturer specifications, including decontamination and electrical safety testing • Provide technical advice to Field Service Technicians and support staff for troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, chemical, and refrigeration systems • Perform field service repairs to minimize customer downtime and evaluate service manuals for updates • Conduct quality inspections and develop service documentation to comply with FDA requirements • Train technicians and personnel on installation, decontamination, repair, and testing of company instruments at off-site locations • Develop and revise instrumentation service manuals and service bulletins • Analyze field service failures and compile reports for Manufacturing and Product Development departments • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 standards and recommend improvements for instrument quality and performance • Maintain clean, safe work environments and suggest improvements for work processes and procedures • Attend technical meetings, seminars, and perform special projects as assigned Requirements: • 3-5 years of field service or technical repair experience on medical instruments preferred • Strong troubleshooting skills in electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and chemical systems • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 75% • Excellent communication and documentation skills to meet regulatory requirements
