Job Description :

We are currently seeking an experienced field service & application engineer to be a process & product support specialist for our semiconductor/microelectronics assembly equipment. Must be willing to travel regularly in the western USA region.

Responsibilities:

  • Product specialist supporting our most sophisticated capital equipment, including semi and fully automated die bonders.
  • Technical liaison with the factory for all aspects of product support.
  • Equipment installations, customer training, technical support, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Maintain communication with customers to ensure timely resolution and follow-up
  • Equipment pre-sales demonstrations, help maintain demonstration lab and equipment
  • Application and process support for potential and existing customers.
  • Assist factory product managers as needed with new documentation, software testing, quality reviews, and product enhancements.
  • Occasional travel to our Germany factory for specialized training, or machine acceptance support.
  • Support factory product managers with documentation, software testing, quality reviews, and product improvements as needed.
  • Opportunity to participate in technical collaboration on white paper publications and application presentations
  • Qualifications:

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in supporting capital equipment, preferably in the semiconductor and related industries. Vision systems experience a plus.
  • B.S., A.S., or relevant technical experience considered.
  • Specific experience with backend semiconductor equipment, processes and advanced packaging science is ideal.
  • Confident hands-on experience with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Includes varied travel up to 50-70%. Must have adaptability to schedule changes. Will involve multi-day visits to customer sites in North America (primarily Pacific & Mountain zones).
  • Must be self-motivated and thrive within a small company environment. Able to multi-task and take the initiative to anticipate and proactively solve problems, manage competing priorities, and drive tasks forward with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Strong PC and organizational skills assumed
  • The job may require lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
