OneSparQ is actively seeking a motivated Field Scientist to join a dynamic environmental team within a well-established civil engineering firm based in Louisville, KY. Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related scientific field (e.g., Mathematics or Public Health with an environmental focus).
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and willingness to travel locally for fieldwork.
Additional Skills: (not required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Previous internship or coursework experience related to environmental assessments or field sampling is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for commercial properties to identify potential environmental concerns and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct both field investigations and office-based reporting activities, with an approximate 50/50 split between fieldwork and in-office tasks.
- Assist with environmental planning and permitting projects, including endangered species reviews, wetland delineations, and habitat assessments.
- Collect data and maintain thorough documentation in support of environmental compliance and due diligence requirements.
- Prepare clear and concise technical reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members, project managers, and clients to support the successful execution of environmental projects.
