(preferably near Grand Rapids, Michigan)Tokio Marine HCC - Public Risk Group, is looking for a Field Risk Control Representative to join our growing company. Public Risk Group, a member of the Tokio Marine group of companies, is a market leader in providing specialized insurance products for municipal entities. We cover counties, cities, townships, villages, police departments, prisons, fire departments and more. We serve the growing insurance and risk management needs of small to medium governmental entities in Indiana and Illinois.As a Field Risk Control Representative, you will perform on-site and virtual risk control evaluations for insured entities to avoid, reduce and/or transfer risk using industry best practice principles. From your site visits you will be able to provide a risk control report to the entity outlining recommendations for reducing risk exposures. In addition to performing risk assessments, you will conduct property evaluations, review safety policies/procedures and provide targeted and impactful risk control services to our insureds. Using your expertise, you will also conduct educational seminars for our insureds. Internally, you will work in conjunction with our Underwriting and Claims teams to review insured exposures, optimize risk mitigation implementation, and identify trends. You will also support other departments in the development of forms, policies, and procedures to help improve work processes.The Ideal Candidate

• Previous working experience with public entities or property and liability insurance
• Minimum 2 years of relevant and progressive public risk control experience gained from working in the risk management or insurance industry with knowledge of safety and risk prevention.
• Bachelor of Science degree, or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience.
• Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable areas of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment.
• Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
• Possess a State issued Driver's License
• Associate Degree in Risk Management (ARM), Risk Management for Public Entities (RMPE) and/or equivalent insurance designation, Property and Casualty Agents License is an asset.

Additional Working Conditions And Physical Demands

• Travel up to 80% may be required.
• Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.
• May be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
• May be required to move up to 10 pounds.
