Description

The Field Reimbursement Specialist (FRS) will be responsible for managing defined accounts within a specific geographic region in the ophthalmic therapeutic area, supporting our client's products.

The FRS will execute the territory strategic plan through partnership with internal and external stakeholders, including call center services (HUB), sales, market access, and other partners. Responsibilities include understanding the reimbursement process, providing field reimbursement services, and supporting patient programs. The specialist will also resolve patient reimbursement issues, requiring knowledge and experience with patient health information (PHI).

Field Reimbursement Specialists manage activities that support patient reimbursement in provider offices and liaise with patient assistance and reimbursement services. Activities include:

• Providing live, one-on-one support as an extension of the product team.
• Assisting from physician order to reimbursement, supporting prior authorization, appeals, and denial procedures.
• Reviewing patient-specific information for coverage challenges.
• Reviewing insurance benefit options.
• Identifying alternative funding and financial assistance programs.

Minimum Qualifications & Education:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least two years of experience in access and reimbursement, managed care, or billing and coding support.
• Experience with Buy and Bill products and understanding of the reimbursement process from script to injection.
• Ophthalmic, retina, or biosimilar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CMS policies and Medicare Part D coverage is a plus.
