As a Field Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing our yard and transportation operations while leading a dynamic team of technicians and drivers. Your leadership will directly influence our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily yard operations, ensuring all technicians are supported.
- Collaborate with Operations Coordinators and Routers to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
- Evaluate and report on operational metrics, including routing efficiency and labor costs.
- Foster communication across departments to resolve customer service issues and improve operations.
- Coordinate with other yard supervisors for asset transfers as needed.
- Ensure adequate staffing and resources to exceed customer and branch requirements.
- Assist the Operations Manager with logistics for special events, ensuring smooth delivery and service.
- Verify the completion and accuracy of driver paperwork, including manifests and route sheets.
- Manage payroll processes by reviewing time sheets and scheduling time off based on operational needs.
- Maintain compliance with fleet DOT regulations and oversee safety programs.
- Support employee development through performance reviews and training initiatives.
- Operate various company vehicles as required.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in a related field, along with leadership experience managing teams.
- Strong customer service orientation and team building skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to make informed decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit while driving and stand while servicing products.
- Capability to lift up to 40lbs and perform repetitive movements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and auditory.
- Physical stamina to walk, crouch, and lift as necessary during tasks.
