Selectek has an exciting opportunity for a Field Maintenance Technician. This role needs someone to have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment/systems for conveyors and sorters in a manufacturing setting. This person should have strong electrical and mechanical technical skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.
Job Duties:Career Advancement - Individuals excelling in this role could move into a role as Senior Field Maintenance Technician or Field Service Manager in the future.
Travel For the first 6-8 months, they will be in the field 75% - 80% of the time since this is how they will learn the product best. Once they gain that knowledge, travel will start to taper down. Their hope is to get everyone down to that ideal 30% as soon as possible, but it will take time to get there and some may sit in the 30-50% range for a while.
Salary Role - Most people in this industry will be used to hourly with time and a half. This is a salary role, but they said they are working out some ways to help with situations if they require excessive time in the field. This is a new role, but there will be a point they may offer straight time for OT over 50 hours. Travel time will not go towards their hours though since they are salary. For expenses, they will have a company card to use to book their own travel hotels and meals. Need someone well rounded with good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Need to be from a manufacturing environment with good experience working on conveyors and sorters.
Job Order DetailsWith this position, the Field Maintenance Technician will use a mixture of repair and sales. They will offer phone/video support to installers and techs in the field. If they are not able to resolve the issue remotely, they will go out and help with the repair. While they are there, they will be encouraged to service all their products on site and see if there are other items that are close to being needed to be replaced to upsell their clients.

Pay Range:$85,000 - $90,000 annual salary
