Field Inspector

Remote + up to 75% travel (within 2-3 hour radius)

The Field Inspector will play a key role in conducting detailed assessments and assisting clients with important decisions while gaining hands-on experience in environmental and construction risk mitigation, property research, and construction project management. In this role, you will be set up for success from the beginning, with company-provided equipment, the flexibility of working from home when not in the field, and the support of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct site visits for Construction Draws, Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Transaction Screens, and EA Quick Plus assessments, following ASTM standards.
  • Prepare for visits by reviewing previous studies, online research, and any relevant background information.
  • Work closely with clients to fully understand operations, processes, and any potential environmental risks.
  • Maintain and organize documentation, keeping projects organized and properly tracked.
  • Assist in drafting first-pass reports.
  • Prepare desktop reports and conduct peer reviews, as needed.
  • Receive further training in more advanced site inspections, Phase II ESAs, and environmental/construction reviews, supporting these efforts, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, engineering science, or related field.
  • 1-3 years' experience with ESAs, PCAs, Phase II, or construction monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; quick learner with internal platforms like PODIO.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professionalism and ability to collaborate and work effectively with both internal teams and clients.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment & Travel

This position will require up to 75% travel to sites within a 2-3 hour radius with occasional travel throughout the United States. Must be comfortable with heights and climbing ladders to get on roofs.
