Field Engineer - Yonkers Contracting Company : Job Details

Job Summary:

A Field Engineer works with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents to safely and cost-effectively build heavy-highway construction projects in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project team to understand project requirements
• Assists in the preparation of construction schedules and monitors the progress
• Assist in planning daily construction activities that are compliant with the plans, specifications, and safety standards
• Assist in providing technical assistance for construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Address jobsite site issues proactively and work with Project Engineers to develop solutions
• Assist with managing change orders
• Assist in preparing and submitting Daily Reports detailing job site activities, issues, and progress
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documents
• Engage in regular meetings with project team members to discuss progress, challenges, and technical details

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field
• Experience: 0-5 years
