- B.A. or B.S. in Construction Management.
The role you will play:
- Assist the Superintendent with the scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries
- Ensure that materials received are properly inspected for quantity and quality, and that the receiving tickets are properly signed and coded and forwarded to the account department
- Assist the Superintendent coordinate, schedule and manage all subcontractors and vendors, expedite vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis and identify and resolve construction problems as they develop
- Help the Superintendent maintain accurate timekeeping and cost records.
- Assist with project planning - support the development and execution of the pre-job plan. Assist with determining the construction techniques to be used to construct the project.
- Assist the Superintendent comply with all job site reporting requirements, including daily reports, sos, weekly unit reports, weekly updates to the two week look-aheads and monthly updates to the construction schedule.
- Help Project Managers comply with submittal schedule, contract documents and company reporting requirements
- Attending all jobsite meetings
- Maintain safety standards - monitor safety planning, execution, and documentation on assigned project.
- Maintain quality consistent with company standards
- Identify all potential change orders and back - charges that may affect project profitability and document them to the extent required
- Close out the project in compliance with the contract documents
- Notifying the Superintendent for labor and material needs
- Regular job site attendance required.
- Other duties as assigned.
