Job: Field Engineer Duration: 12 Months Location: Austin, Tx Pay Rate: $40.87/hr. W2Top 5 Required Skills 1. Valid US Driver's License 2. Exposure to commercial field test and data analysis tools for wireless telephony product verification 3. Experience with QC tools like QXDM, QCAT, XCAL, TEMs 4. Exposure to one or more of the following areas: * Understanding of digital communications systems * RF Propagation * CDMA * OFDM * Telecommunication concepts * Understanding of Physical/MAC layers and Call Processing concepts * Understanding of wire line and wireless data protocol stacks, to include RLP, PPP, IP, TCP, IPV6, MPIV6 * Understanding of software development and testing concepts for wireless handset for various air interface standards * Familiarity with IP Telephony network (SIP, IMS and IP telephony standards) 5. Strong written and verbal communication skills Required Education:. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering Required Years of Experience: 1+ Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for testing SW & HW on test platform using modem chipsets as well as executing test cases and test scenarios and various traffic patterns to characterize physical/MAC layers, protocol layers and applications layers.
