Position Summary:

The Field Application Scientist(FAS) will work with Sales Representatives to achieve instrument sales goals by applying scientific knowledge of AA, ICP, and ICP/MS technologies. These instruments are used across a diverse range of markets, including Chemicals, Industrial, Environmental, and Pharmaceuticals.Locations: This position will be Remote, and the Field Application Scientist must reside in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and/or Michigan.

This FAS position is the key applications support scientist for the Upper Midwest United States. (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and/or Michigan)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• You will conduct customer demonstrations on the aforementioned products in conjunction with the associated geographical Sales team; perform sample analysis/method development on customer samples using the spectroscopy solutions mentioned above; prepare data packages and presentations summarizing the analysis via online meeting or in person.
• You will collaborate with all Field Team members to develop and deploy world-class systems and tools and provide front-line support to sales as the Field Application Scientist.
• You will provide and deliver product training to the field (marketing & sales) as new features/functionality are available for the designated product and domain specialty.
• You will coordinate with Product Management to identify, communicate, and incorporate new product enhancements, as well as with the Services team to ensure we deliver competitive solutions that are differentiated through value as perceived by our customers.
• You will characterize the external market by performing pipeline analysis and competitive assessments for the region and specific market segments.
• You will attend regional and national meetings, presenting new applications and assisting sales with booth duty and customer inquiries.
• You will always present a professional image to customers, clients, and other vendors.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree
• Must have 3 to 5 years of hands-on working knowledge of AA, ICP-OES and ICP-MS instrumentation, including sample preparation requirements.
• Must have 2 to 5 years in a role that supports interacting with customers.
• Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• This role will travel up to 50% throughout the year

Preferred Requirements:

• PHD in relevant discipline.
• A strong mix of scientific expertise and excellent communication skills is required.
• Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
