Webber, an industry leader in construction and infrastructure, is seeking a dynamic Site Quality Manager to join our team.Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovationWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Site Quality Manager to Supervise the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes for construction of large utility-scale renewable energy project. The Site Quality Manager will ensure that all construction, installation and commissioning processes meet or exceed the requirements established in Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), EPC's standards and regulatory requirements, customer specifications and contract requirements contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality, sustainable energy solutions.What You Will Do:
  • Quality Leadership:
  • Serve as the on-site authority for all quality matters.
  • Act as liaison between the EPC Quality program, construction team, subcontractors, and the client.
  • Develop, Implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for the project, aligning with Ferrovial Webber Energy Integrated Management System and ISO 9001.
  • Inspection and Testing:
  • Define and implement inspection and testing plans (ITP) for all project phases, including procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate and oversee field quality inspectors of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical installations, material testing, and equipment certifications to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Ensure project compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE etc).
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Manage and maintain detailed quality documentation, including inspection reports, certificates, NCRs, punch lists, and corrective action records.
  • Oversee Turnover Document Process, compile Quality Turnover Packages for handover and commissioning.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes for quality issues (E.g., A3, 8D methodology)
  • Vendor and Contractor Oversight:
  • Evaluate and approve suppliers and contractors based on quality criteria.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure materials and equipment meet project standards.
  • Team Management:
  • Supervise site quality inspectors and third-party testing labs.
  • Provide on-site training to construction teams on quality procedures and standards.
  • Auditing and Reporting:
  • Conduct regular internal quality audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement. Support third-party/client audits.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and stakeholders.
Who You Are: A Profile of Success
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced training or certifications in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA, Six Sigma) is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 5-10 years experience is preferred in quality management, with at least 3 years in utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Experience managing teams and third-party inspections on active construction sites is preferred.
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing QA/QC processes on large-scale projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., NEC, ASME, ISO, or ASTM).
  • Proficiency in QA/QC tools and software (e.g., Procore, SAP, or similar).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Certifications:
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Six Sigma certification preferred.
