KLR Executive Search Group is proud to partner with Reliable Fence Metrowest. Due to continued growth, the company is hiring a Fence Manufacturing & Operations Manager for a newly created role reporting directly to the President.

Reliable Fence Metrowest, a leader in the fence manufacturing industry, is headquartered in Ashland, Massachusetts. Founded in 1955, Reliable Fence Metrowest is a family-owned business known for its quality craftsmanship and service. The company serves residential, commercial, and municipal clients with expertly designed and installed fencing solutions. Their inhouse manufacturing facility is staffed by skilled woodworkers who transform milled parts into custom fences. From concept to completion, their dedicated team supports clients - working closely with homeowners, builders, and landscape architects to deliver the right product for every project.

The Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience, with a strong focus on construction project management and business operations within the fence industry. Experience supporting a family-run business is preferred, and exposure to industry-leading manufacturing processes - such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies - is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the company's fence manufacturing and operational processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Carry out the owner's vision and priorities, increase productivity, and support business development initiatives.
• Build and keep strong relationships with industry partners, local businesses, and trade groups.
• Work alongside leadership to spot ways they can improve and help keep projects moving forward.
• Help create a positive, team-oriented environment where everyone can do their best work.

Job Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations management, ideally within the fence, construction, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with the capacity to work independently.
• Ability to operate a forklift and perform physically demanding tasks when required.
• Availability to manage facility operations from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
