*Located in NYC, this role is fully onsite at the company's office.

Our Marketing Director should possess skills and experience in:
A. Brand Strategy & Content Leadership
1. Brand Narrative Development
For example, the candidate has the ability to co-develop (with our CEO) and persuasively articulate seasonal concepts, collection narratives, and social media posts that expand and enhance our brand recognition.
2. Work-Flow Management & Calendar Oversight
For example, the candidate can manage a team of social media specialists and graphic designers and oversee a forward-looking 3–6 months marketing calendar that benchmarks achievement dates for product launches, brand campaigns, seasonal PR opportunities, and community engagement.
3. Platform-Specific Content Strategy
For example, the candidate has a deep understanding of platform-native content needs (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Email), with the ability to adapt visual and verbal language across channels while maintaining brand consistency.
4. DTC Growth Execution (Shopify)
For example, the candidate has successfully planned and executed e-commerce growth initiatives, including product launch flows, conversion funnel design, attribution modeling, A/B testing, and landing page optimization, with a focus on storytelling-driven UX.
5. Paid Media & Budget Management
For example, the candidate is skilled in planning and managing cost-effective ad campaigns across Meta, Google, and Pinterest, and can recommend various budget parameters and goals in terms of ROAS, CAC, and increased revenue.
6. Analytics & Customer Insight
For example, the candidate is comfortable working with GA4, Shopify Analytics, and Klaviyo to track performance, analyze user behavior, and translate data into actionable insights for content and campaign refinement.
C. Channel Development & Strategic Partnerships
7. Wholesale & Marketplace Expansion
For example, the candidate has a proven track record of bringing emerging brands into premium retail and digital platforms, and curated showrooms, including extensive network, pitch development and sell-in strategy.
8. Influencer & UGC Partnerships
For example, the candidate is experienced in managing influencer collaborations with clearly defined briefs, affiliate links, and performance tracking—focused on both storytelling and measurable ROI, not just gifting.
9. PR & Editorial Coordination
For example, the candidate can coordinate with stylists, editors, and PR agents to secure brand placements, develop press materials, and build long-term media relationships that reinforce brand positioning.
D. Executional Agility & Operational Management
10. External Team Leadership
For example, the candidate is experienced in managing freelancers or external partners (copywriters, designers, media buyers, photographers), ensuring clear briefs, timelines, and high-quality execution.
For example, the candidate is fluent in using Notion, Asana, Google Workspace, Shopify backend, Klaviyo, and Meta Business Suite—capable of operating independently without hand-holding.
