Family Worker - Adirondack Community Action Programs : Job Details

Preferred qualifications include a relevant associate's degree and/or pertinent experience/education in the human service field.

Position Summary: This position requires excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn/provide a strength-based approach when interacting with enrolled families. The Family Worker wilt establish and maintain a positive rapport with all parents and community partners. He/she will assist parents/caregivers, in identifying goals and will develop and implement a partnership agreement that will lead the family to successful goal attainment. The Family Worker will also support and encourage volunteerism in all aspects of the program. He/she will be an effective member of the site team and wilt support the Head Start philosophy. This position may require that he/she drive his/her own personal vehicle to conduct agency business.
