Job Type Full-time Description Family Resource Specialist responsibilities include screening and assessing families who are prenatal or have a newborn to determine the strengths and needs of each family. Areas served include Dubois, Spencer and Warrick counties. 1. Assist families in accessing appropriate community resources; 2. Family Support Specialist are responsible for providing; a. education to participants regarding parenting and child development; b. information on preventative health safety; c. referrals to resources within the communities that we serve. Requirements 1. Traveling to participant homes for visits at times of day that are most convenient to the participants; 2. Organization of weekly appointments/home visits, documentation and data entry, phone calls, and other such interactions with participants served by Healthy Families or those we are offering services; 3. Entering these interactions into the Enlite database for record of Healthy Families Indiana; 4. Participating in weekly supervision, regularly scheduled staff meetings, and required on-going training. Requirements 1. Experience in working with or providing services to children and families and knowledge of infant and child development; 2. High School Diploma Minimum; 3. Experience and willingness to work with the culturally diverse populations; 4. Valid drivers' license and dependable automobile with vehicle insurance required; 5. Able to pass required background checks; 6. Experience and proficiency using computer and internet; 7. Effective written, verbal, and listening skills; 8. Infant Mental Health endorsement preferred (if available in the state); 9. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is preferred. Salary Description Hourly $15-$19
