PathPoint is seeking a full-time, bilingual, Spanish speaking Family Support Specialist under the Coordinated Family Supports (CFS) services in Thousand Oaks, CA. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with a passion for advocating for individuals' rights and improving their quality of life.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (variable), 10:00am-6:30 pm, 40 hours per week. Flexible schedule, evening and weekend availability is needed.

Compensation: This is an hourly position starting at $24.25 per hour. The pay range for this position is $23.04-$25.46. The pay range is subject to change based on a variety of factors.

The Impact you'll Make:

The Family Support Specialist (FSS) works with adults with disabilities and coordinates services that help create proactive support plans for individuals and their families to continue living in their family homes, access their communities and teaches independent living skills. You will advocate for individuals' rights, conduct assessments, and assist in developing Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Person-Centered Plans (PCP). This role involves acting as a liaison with agencies and involves outreach activities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Associates-level degree or at least three years of experience in the developmental disability service delivery system.
  • Knowledge of the Regional Center, community resources and support services are desired.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred.
  • Comfortable with home visits and capable of designing and executing customized program curriculum.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, social workers, Department of Rehabilitation or Regional Center Staff and others in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Highly organized with strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and video meeting applications.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, 5 years of driving experience, and be eligible for coverage on PathPoint's auto insurance policy.
  • Culturally aware, acknowledges diverse employee backgrounds, possesses skills to collaborate across cultures, and avoids biased assumptions based on cultural differences.
