Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant Buffalo NY We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multispecialty medical practice near Buffalo in Williamsville NY. Join our well-established, highly reputable team providing the highest level of outpatient care to our patients! The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be working within our Pain Management team, in a critical role in providing comprehensive patient care, diagnosing, and treating brain, spine and peripheral nerve conditions. About us: We are a well-established, large, multi-specialty private medical practice located in Williamsville near Buffalo with several satellite offices throughout the West NY area. Recognizing the need for multidisciplinary care for patients to achieve the best outcomes and safety; services were added that would benefit the patient. Everyone from the dietitian to the surgeon knows what everyone is doing, working towards a comprehensive care plan with all services at one location. We have dedicated clinical and admin support to meet all patient care, and other care management needs without additional burden to the provider. We offer multiple onsite specialty physicians and other ancillary services for ease of coordination of care. Responsibilities include:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans or goals including prescribing medications and conservative therapies as well as interventional procedures and surgical interventions when appropriate
  • Document encounters/progress notes in EMR system
  • Provide continuity of care and referrals to specialist as applicable to patients care
  • Communicate testing results, follow up care or any other additional information to patients
  • Educate patients and their families on healthcare issues, pre and post-surgical measure and other conservative treatment options.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, including primary care physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, psychologists, and other specialists, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a RN/NP/PA preferred
  • Neurosurgery experience a plus
  • NP/PA license to practice in NY
Schedule:
  • Full time
Compensation (range):
  • Up to $145k per year (depending on experience)
