Position: Pastor of Family Ministries
Qualifications:
- Licensed or qualified to be licensed with the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA). As a licensed minister, the Pastor of Family Ministries will pursue licensing and ordination goals set forth by the C&MA.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role with demonstrated record of healthy ministry and positive references.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute ministry plans aligned with the church's vision/mission, including setting goals, developing staff and volunteers, and expanding community outreach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in current resources for family ministry.
- Commitment to participation in the life of Long Hill Chapel (LHC) and its community as an expression of discipleship and mission.
- Willingness to collaborate with C&MA, Metro District, and partners for Gospel impact in the Chatham, NJ region.
Responsibilities:
- Lead LHCStudents (6th–12th grade), partnering with parents to help students explore and own their faith.
- Establish and communicate a vision for a safe, engaging environment for students.
- Plan and deliver relevant message series addressing real-world issues.
- Oversee and participate in coordinating events with staff and volunteers.
- Identify, attract, and train volunteers; develop systems for leadership growth.
- Maintain communication with parents, guardians, and mentors.
- Create an environment encouraging wise choices, positive peer influence, and personal growth.
- Dedicate approximately half the workweek to LHCStudents.
- Lead LHCKids (birth–5th grade), aligning with LHC's vision, including recruiting and training volunteers, designing policies for safety, and maintaining communication with parents.
- Dedicate approximately half the workweek to LHCKids.
Additional Duties:
- Maintain regular in-person office hours as determined by the Lead Pastor.
- Participate in staff and leadership meetings, weekend worship, and special events.
- Oversee pastoral care needs within their ministries and the congregation as needed.
Accountability:
- The Pastor of Family Ministries reports to the Lead Pastor and District Superintendent.
- Performance evaluations will be conducted at least annually based on role responsibilities and ministry goals.
