Position: Physician – Family Medicine – Bassett Health Center Schoharie, NY

Overview: Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician in Schoharie, NY. Visa sponsorship is available.

About the Organization

Bassett Healthcare Network provides care across an eight-county region in Central New York, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, community health centers, and more, with over 400 physicians and clinicians dedicated to patient-centered care.

Norwich, NY, located between Syracuse and Binghamton, offers a peaceful community with excellent schools and access to lakes, streams, mountains, and parks.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care at Schoharie Health Center, a NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home.
• Work with an established team of physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
• Traditional schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, no OB.
• Utilize AI scribes to help reduce documentation time.
• Participate in the Inbasket Ninja Program for managing patient communications.
• Use fully integrated EPIC EMR system.
• First call system with NP/PA coverage for patient calls.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $320,000 – $374,000, based on experience and qualifications.
• Incentive plan with no earnings cap.
• Residence stipend up to $45,000 (up to 18 months prior to graduation).
• Sign-on bonus up to $200,000.
• Loan repayment options through federal and state programs.
• Group employed model.
• Visa sponsorship available (J-1, H-1B).

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
• Board eligible or certified.
• NYS medical licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification.
• DEA license.
